Come and hear from three of Salem's international partners who are leading the way in Helping the Sick (Caring Partners International), Making Home for the Refugee (Heart for Lebanon), and Sharing Hope with the Poor (Children of Promise). Each week everyone will be encouraged to come alongside these partners and make some real change in the lives of those they serve globally. Throughout the series, we will be challenged to pray, learn, and activate our lives towards others as we gear up to serve our community in the Miami Valley on Love Does Sunday, August 19.

LOVE DOES is more than an all-church serve day, it’s a way of life! Once a year Salem shortens the Sunday services and then sends the entire congregation throughout the Miami Valley to serve those in need.

Baptism is a first step for a new believer and a MILESTONE in the life of every believer. Immersion in water symbolizes new life in Christ and is an outward sign of an inward work of grace. The journey of grief is a painful process, and you do not need to walk it alone. GriefShare is a seminar and support group that offers materials specifically addressing topics and issues for those who are grieving the death of a loved one. Registration fee is $15 and can be paid at the first class (scholarships possible with advance contact). Childcare is not available. Contact email@example.com.

Do you know someone who is a care giver for someone with Alzheimer’s or Dementia? The Salem Light House is available each Friday from 1-5 p.m. with volunteers that will entertain your loved one suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia so you can get away for a while. Caregiving duties can be exhausting. This ministry is a free service with dedicated volunteers. Take this time to go to the doctor, get a haircut or take a much needed nap.
