Two Ministries. One Heart.
Salem Senior Adult Ministries provide a sense of community for our people who are, for many, lonely and needing people in their lives. But for all who are in this stage of life, senior ministries give a space and place to make friends and maintain friendships to include a friendship with Jesus.
Salem Senior Adults comprise of two different ministries: Trailblazers & Empty Nesters. Both ministries are those ages 55+.
Trailblazers
Salem Trailblazer’s goal is to surround ourselves with Christian senior adults while making friendships beyond our monthly luncheons held in the Gathering Place.
The monthly speakers are informative and entertaining while bringing a smile to the seniors.
The second Thursday of the month seniors enjoy a catered lunch; hymns; birthday celebrations; interesting speakers; witty table conversation; and table team activities. Reservations are required.
Trailblazers can also participate in community service projects during the year; Along with the Shepherd program where each person is supported by their assigned Shepherd
