Two Ministries. One Heart.
Salem Senior Adult Ministries provide a sense of community for our people who are, for many, lonely and needing people in their lives. But for all who are in this stage of life, senior ministries give a space and place to make friends and maintain friendships to include a friendship with Jesus.
Salem Senior Adults comprise of two different ministries: Trailblazers & Empty Nesters. Both ministries are those ages 55+.
Trailblazers
Trailblazers holds monthly luncheons in the Gathering Place where they gather over a meal for connection, encouragement, and support. There are additional events with COGO and Caring Partners International throughout the year.
Empty Nesters
Empty Nesters has 4-5 events per year for support and encouragement. They have one missions project per year — a Turkey giveaway before Thanksgiving in partnership with Northmont Friends In Service for Humanity.

How do event signups work?
Most events do require an RSVP prior to the day of. The RSVP information can be found on the Upcoming Events page, on the church lobby TV's, or in E-Happenings!
Do I have to choose between Empty Nesters and Trailblazers?
No. You are free to choose what activity you want to be involved in and sign up and attend.
Can I bring a friend to gatherings and events?
Certainly. Just give the contact person the name(s) of your friend and get them to the next fun event!
